Calligrapher. Started learning calligraphy at the age of 6 and has won numerous awards both in Japan and abroad.
Since 2004, he has studied under Shoshu, and has become even more captivated by the profound depths of calligraphy, feeling that he is "being brought to life by calligraphy." His signature work, the "Resonance" series, was born from his daily engagement with the classics. This work focuses on the invisible brush strokes in the air between dots, and is based on the theme of imagining the invisible.

In recent years, he has pursued the possibilities of calligraphy by presenting the Human Glyphs series, in which he himself becomes part of the letters, and the 21st Century Continuous Series, in which English is written vertically.

He has appeared in a British BBC documentary as a contemporary calligrapher, in the opening video for the NHK Taiga drama "Yae no Sakura," as a lecturer on NHK Educational TV's "Shumi Doki!", at Hankyu Arashiyama Station "Arashiyama," in a performance at TED, in a giant Panasonic show window, on stone monuments at temples, and in a variety of other media, and his lettering and ink expressions have been well received.
