Compliance with the US Traceability Act

On April 24, 2009, the "Act on Recording of Information Concerning Transactions of Rice, etc. and Transmission of Origin Information" (Rice Traceability Act) was promulgated, with the main focus being on providing traceability and origin information for raw materials.

Key points

① Thorough implementation of rice transaction bookkeeping obligations
② Sake, mirin, and pot-distilled shochu made using rice shipped after July next year will be required to display the "place of origin" on the packaging.
③ The ingredients of sake shall be listed as rice (domestic) and rice koji (domestic rice).

We would like to inform you that one of these, "Communication of production area information," will be implemented as follows.
We would appreciate your kind understanding.

Changes and examples of changes

・Ozeki products <Method of transmitting information about the origin>
(Example) Before the change: Rice, rice koji, and brewer's alcohol

After the change: Rice (domestic), rice koji (domestic rice), brewer's alcohol
The new autumn/winter 2022 products (already announced) will display origin information on labels etc. from the time of release.
For existing products, we will gradually switch over while monitoring our packaging inventory.

We will inform you of the response of other affiliated companies as soon as the details are decided.
