Ozeki Co., Ltd. held a special "Diamond Party" on Sunday, December 15, 2024, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of both its long-selling product "One Cup®" and the Tokaido Shinkansen of Central Japan Railway Company (President and CEO: Niwa Shunsuke, hereinafter "JR Central"). For this project, 60 customers, selected by lottery from 1,049 applicants, were invited to board the "One Cup" train from Tokyo to Shin-Osaka, utilizing JR Central's chartered train package, and enjoyed a Shinkansen journey filled with One Cup.
In addition, this project also included a special talk event presented by each of the three radio stations sponsored by Ozeki, with a number of impressive guests on board, including singer Tokiko Kato, who is celebrating her 60th anniversary since her debut this year.

Taking advantage of the optional menu of JR Central's chartered vehicle package, the interior of the Nozomi Shinkansen was transformed into One Cup colors, with special head covers and carpets being installed for the occasion.
To accompany their journey, passengers were provided with a "One Cup Anniversary Set" containing sake and snacks, including a One Cup with an original label for this project. In the car, passengers were also offered One Cup undiluted sake straight from the brewery and "One Cup Ozeki Ice," a collaboration product with SAKEICE, a brand specializing in sake ice cream, allowing them to enjoy One Cup in various ways.

A special talk event featuring many special guests from three radio stations

Jiro Karafuto from Nippon Broadcasting will be on board!

Special talk exclusive to this day was on offer to liven up the train, with Shinbo Jiro and Masuyama Sayaka (announcer for Nippon Broadcasting System) appearing on Nippon Broadcasting System's "Shinbo Jiro Zoom Sokomade Iu ka!" (broadcast every Monday to Thursday from 15:30pm to 17:30pm *Only on Mondays until 17:35pm). From stories about Mount Fuji and the birth of the Ozeki rank, to memories of the birth of One Cup 60 years ago, to predictions for 2025, Shinbo's special talk, exclusive to this day, livened up the train.

The unique comedy duo "Young Town" from MBS Radio will be joining the show to perform their new material!

The unique comedy duo "Young Town," consisting of rakugo performer Nishiki Shotei Mando and announcer Fukushima Nobuhiro (MBS announcer), was born from MBS Radio's popular program "MBS Young Town Sunday" (broadcast every Sunday from 10:00 PM to 11:30 PM). For the first time in history, they performed the world's fastest comedy act from inside a Shinkansen, performing new material related to "One Cup" and "Tokaido Shinkansen," filling the train with laughter.

On FM COCOLO, Tokiko Kato, who is also celebrating her 60th anniversary since her debut, will be riding as a guest!

As a guest at the talk event on FM COCOLO's "THE MAGNIFICENT FRIDAY" (broadcast every Friday from 14pm to 18pm), Tokiko Kato, who sings "Sake is Ozeki" (lyrics and music by Kobayashi Asei), a hit song used in the Ozeki commercial, was on board the train, celebrating the same 60th anniversary as the One Cup Tokaido Shinkansen. She shared a well-coordinated conversation with Kami Yukinobu (FM COCOLO DJ), who turns 60 this year. After a toast with the passengers, the train sang "Sake is Ozeki," bringing everyone together in unison.

・I was able to enjoy the event like a dinner show, and the journey to Shin-Osaka went by in a flash. I thought, "I want to go to Hakata."
・I thought One Cup, the pioneer of cup sake, was a wonderful invention. I think there are many people who don't like it at first, but once they try it, they will find it easy to drink and delicious.
・I was surprised to learn about One Cup's lineup and various initiatives. It made me feel attached to it, knowing that it's a drink loved by everyone, and when I stopped by the convenience store on my way home from the event, I ended up buying some.

In applying for this project, we read all of the memories and passionate feelings about One Cup that we received from over 1000 customers, and we were reminded that we want One Cup to continue to be a drink that accompanies everyone's everyday lives and their lives.
This time, only 60 people were invited, selected by lottery, but the journey on the One Cup was a great success, carrying the thoughts of all those who applied.
We will continue to use the support we have received through this project as our strength to continue working sincerely to make better sake and other products.
