New Year's gift item "Tamon Zuiko Junmai Ginjo 720ml Bottle" released in limited quantities in the Hokkaido area
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the launch of the Tamon sake brand on November 16, 2024, we will be releasing Tamon Zuikou Junmai Ginjo 720ml bottled sake on Monday, November 25, 2024, in limited quantities and exclusively in the Hokkaido area.

What is the sake "Tamon"?
Sales of the sake "Tamon" began mainly in the company's hometown of Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture. For a long time afterward, the company continued to provide enjoyable experiences through "sake" to people all over the country, based around business partners around the ports where the company-operated Hachima Steamship ships call. In Hokkaido in particular, the sake continues to be patronized by many customers. Even after Ozeki took over the trademark and Tamon Brewery was dissolved in 2004, the name "Tamon" sake continues to be passed down.
1839 (Tenpo 9)
The first generation, Kanesuke Yatsuma (born in what is now Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture), established the rice merchant Yatsuma-ya, and later expanded the business, establishing the Yatsuma zaibatsu.
1920
After successfully running the shipping and banking businesses, he founded Tamon Kogyo.
1924
The company obtained a liquor manufacturing license and began producing and selling "Tamon Sake," becoming Tamon Sake Brewery.
About "Tamon Zuiko Junmai Ginjo 720ml Bottle"
"Zuikou" means "auspicious light, a light that represents good fortune," and was a product sold by Tamon Sake Brewery as a gift item for the New Year holidays.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Tamon brand, and to express our gratitude to the people of Hokkaido for their long-standing patronage, we will be releasing a new, limited-area, limited-quantity, pure rice ginjo sake, Tamon Zuikou Junmai Ginjo 720ml bottle, made with rice grown in Hokkaido.
Using Ozeki's proprietary yeast, which has been bred to produce a high amount of aromatic compounds, you can enjoy a rich ginjo aroma. Yamada Nishiki rice from Hyogo Prefecture is used for the koji rice, and Nanatsuboshi rice from Hokkaido is used for the kakemai, bringing out the maximum flavor of the rice.
