IWC (International Wine Challenge)

The IWC (International Wine Challenge) was founded in 1984 and is one of the world's most prestigious blind tasting competitions. The SAKE division has grown dramatically since its inception in 2007, becoming the largest and most influential sake competition held outside of Japan. In the 2024 Sake division, 1504 brands (including 31 overseas brands) from 392 companies (15 of which are overseas) will be blind-tasted in 10 categories by a total of 65 judges from 17 countries, and medals will be awarded based on the results (gold medal, silver medal, bronze medal, and competition recommended sake).
