"Super Special Osakaya Chobei Daiginjo"

This is Ozeki's signature sake, named after Osakaya Chobei, the first head of the Ozeki family, who founded it in Imazu Village, Nishinomiya, in 1711. It has a deep aroma and rich flavor, and a refined taste that you will never tire of.

National Sake Tasting Competition 2023

The National Sake Appreciation Competition is the longest-running sake tasting competition outside of Japan. Since its inception in 2001, the competition has conducted rigorous judging under the guidance of the National Research Institute of Brewing. Judging is conducted in a completely blindfolded manner, with the sake bottles never coming into view of the judges. Glucose concentrations are measured in advance, and all judges evaluate all submitted sakes, ensuring a transparent, fair, and objective judging process.

In 2023, a total of 578 sakes were submitted by 198 breweries across four categories: Daiginjo A Division (rice polishing ratio of 40% or less), Daiginjo B Division (rice polishing ratio of 50% or less), Ginjo Division, and Junmai Division. Of these, 141 won gold prizes and 137 won silver prizes.
