We will be releasing a limited quantity of "Josen One Cup 180ml Bottle (Ozumo Label 3)" nationwide from Monday, March 2, 2026, as the third collaboration with the Japan Sumo Association (Chairman: Nobuyoshi Hakkaku, Sumida-ku, Tokyo), with whom we have a sustainability partner agreement.

■About "Josen One Cup 180ml Bottle (Ozumo Label 3)"

This third edition is based on the theme of "Supporting the Reconstruction of the Noto Peninsula," and features five sumo wrestlers from the Hokuriku region on the label design. A portion of the sales from this product will be donated to the reconstruction of the Noto Peninsula through Ishikawa Prefecture. This product will help support the reconstruction of the Noto Peninsula while supporting sumo wrestling.

■About the history of our company and sumo wrestling

In 1884 (Meiji 17), with a desire to develop new markets, we changed our name from our previous brand "Manryo" to "Ozeki," which sounds similar to "great performance" and also means "champion," and was the highest rank in sumo wrestling at the time. Later, in 1900 (Meiji 33), we presented "Ozeki" sake as a prize to the winning sumo wrestler at the Osaka tournament. Since 1958 (Showa 33), we have been presenting the "Ozeki Cup (silver cup)," a certificate of commendation, a prize, and sake to the winning wrestlers of the main sumo tournaments, and have been walking the history of sumo for over 130 years.

Furthermore, in 2023, we signed a Sustainability Partnership Agreement as part of the Japan Sumo Association's "Sumo Sustainability" initiative, which aims to leverage lessons learned from the 1500-year history of sumo to co-create a better future with partner companies.
