Message from the President TOP MESSAGE
Ozeki Co., Ltd. has been producing sake for over 310 years since it began in 1711 during the first year of the Shotoku era in the mid-Edo period, and has continued to create products based on its brewing techniques.
We have been working under the motto of "Pioneering Spirit," starting with the development of "One Cup Ozeki," an innovation in drinking styles, and "Kono Sake," which is now sold in a paper container, and in recent years, we have launched Japan's first organic JAS-certified sake. In December 2024, "traditional sake brewing" using koji mold was registered as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, reaffirming how Japanese food culture is an important asset that is closely connected to local communities and people's lives.
In recent years, society has become increasingly digitalized with advances such as AI, but we would like to continue to provide the world with products that bring joy to everyday life, utilizing our fermentation technology, which is our business area, as well as sake, which is a part of our ancient food culture.
Now is said to be an era of great change, and I look forward to meeting all of you who will join us in pioneering the new era with new ideas and a spirit of challenge.
